It is with pleasure that we announce and welcome Zachary LaPorte as Golf Course Superintendent at Desert Springs Golf Club.

After graduating from the University of Massachusetts with an Associates Degree in turf grass management, Zachary developed extensive design and construction knowledge working throughout the USA and Europe for renowned golf course architect Pete Dye. This then led to his project management of Puntiro and Pula Golf Club designed by Jack Nicklaus and Jose Maria Olazabal respectively.
Zachary joins us from his last position as Course Superintendent at Son Servera Golf Club in Mallorca and brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge of golf course development and maintenance of the highest caliber.
Zachary commented;
“I am grateful for the opportunity to have been selected to join the team at Desert Springs Resort which has a deserved and enviable reputation for the quality of its course, the Indiana.
I look forward to the hard work of not only maintaining this reputation but also, with the aid of my team, improving upon its quality, not only the playing surface, but more importantly the playing experience of our members and guests. I look forward to meeting you all once we are reopen.”

We know that Zachary is going to be a valuable asset to Desert Springs Resort and we can’t wait to see what he can accomplish in the ever-improving development of the course playability and condition.”
