This summer Cuevas del Almanzora will fly with pride two blue flags on its beaches. The award-winning beaches are the beach of Quitapellejos in Palomares and the beach of Pozo del Esparto, which for the first time will fly this award that has been granted by Adeac (Association of Environmental and Consumer Education).
The Town Council of Cuevas del Almanzora, through the Department of Seasonal Management and Conservation of Beaches, is immersed in the development of the 17 km’s of Cuevana coast for everyone’s enjoyment this summer.
With this decoration, “Our beaches get the distinction they deserve, by complying with aspects of environmental management, cleanliness, safety and sanitation,” as highlighted by the mayor José María Bascuñana.
Meanwhile, Cuevas del Almanzora Town Mayor Antonio Fernández expressed satisfaction by remarking; “Two of our busiest beaches unveil the precious blue flags this summer, after 14 years without any award on our shores.”
