We announced in an earlier NewsFlash that the Desert Springs Resort and Golf Club has been selected as the host venue for the 2007 Spanish Amateur Open. A starting field of 132 of the best amateur golfers from Europe will compete over 5 days on the Indiana Course in the attempt to become the 2007 Champion and lift the most prestigious trophy in European amateur golf, La Copa del Rey, in other words, the ‘King’s Cup’.
We want to give our property owners and members as much notice as possible of the programme of events, enabling them to plan their holidays accordingly. Please see below the schedule for the 2007 Spanish Amateur Open.
Monday 26th February – Practice Day 1
Indiana Course reserved from 8,03 hrs – 13,15 hrs for Spanish Amateur Open competitors only
Members reserved tee times from 13,23 hrs – 14,35 hrs and 15,23 – 15,55
Tuesday 27th February – Practice Day 2
Indiana Course reserved from 8,03 hrs – 13,15 hrs for Spanish Amateur Open competitors only
Indiana Course closed from 13,15 hrs for course maintenance
Wednesday 28th February – Tournament Day 1 (Stroke Play)
Indiana Course reserved all day for Spanish Amateur Open competitors only
Thursday 1st March – Tournament Day 2 (Stroke Play)

Friday 2nd March – Tournament Day 3 (Match Play)
