We have challenged La Cala Resort, located in Marbella, to a Ryder Cup style competition against our Members on the Indiana at Desert Springs. This is all part of a continuing promotion and effort to attract more people to Desert Springs and to provide our members with new social and fun events.
La Cala Resort has already readily accepted our invitation and now we need to form a team to represent Desert Springs. Our Members have an unbeaten record in home events to defend and Member’s active support is needed to maintain Desert Springs Golf Club’s fearsome reputation!
The competition will be a 1-day event and the aggregate total of the best 10 individual stableford scores from each team, comprising 16 players, will determine the winning team.
The cost for this event for Desert Springs’ Members is 48.50€ and includes the following:
Friday 11th July
- Complimentary use of Golf Academy practice balls.
- A Cocktail Evening at El Torrente Restaurant to welcome our challengers.
Saturday 12th July
- Complimentary use of practice balls at the Academy prior to play.
- 18 holes of Tournament Golf on the Indiana Course.
- Complimentary use of a golf buggy for 2 persons sharing.
- “Gala Dinner and Prize Presentation” at El Torrente Restaurant.
With teams being strictly limited to 16 players, entries will be on a first come, first served basis.

With similar tournaments against other golf clubs, including return matches, the profile of the Desert Springs Golf Resort and the prestige of its Members will surely go from strength to strength.
