You may not have seen the Golf News issued in respect of the recent “Ryder Cup” tournament held at the resort between teams from The Redbourn Golf Club in England and Desert Springs. A copy may be found on the web site; suffice it to say here that Desert Springs had the better of the contest. However, having received the attached E-mail from the vice-captain of Redbourn, and in view of its graciousness, its very kind words concerning our Members and colleagues and the invitation included, I thought that it may be of interest to all.

Simon,
Although it was said many times, can I once again thank you and your team for the quite outstanding service given to us during our recent visit to Desert Springs. You have the most spectacular course and resort and I must commend you on the care and attention that has obviously been lavished on the area. Your staff are quite exceptional, showing a politeness and friendliness that immediately put us at our ease and made us feel welcome; a special debt of gratitude must go to Bronwen and your no. 2.
Equally, the members of the Desert Springs Ryder Cup team were such a nice bunch, friendly, enthusiastic and so accommodating – the golf was excellent, but the camaraderie was even better! Trust me, anyone that asks about the course or resort gets a glowing recommendation from me!! And if any of your team / members are in the UK, please ask them to drop in on us and we’ll be happy to give them a game on our course!
I can’t wait until next year when Redbourn can try to capture the trophy (I’m recommending a night-time curfew)!
