Radley College, a boys’ independent boarding school founded in 1847, located near Radley, Oxfordshire, England and Winchester College, an independent boarding school for boys’ that claims the longest unbroken history of any school in England, having existed in its present location in Winchester, Hampshire, England for over 600 years, will be following in the auspicious footsteps of Lancashire CCC & Somerset CCC by stepping up their preparations for their 2017 cricket campaign by attending a four (4) day pre-season training camp at the Desert Springs Cricket Academy between Monday 10th – Friday 14th April 2017.

The Radley and Winchester College team training camp will comprise fourteen (14) players and two (2) staff respectively, all of whom will be spending their time completing numerous training sessions each day, which will include grass net practice, both bowling and batting, strength work, running, speed and agility work. As they will be outside and on grass, the squad will also be able to complete fielding and throwing practice in realistic conditions, as well as compete against one another on the cricket pitch, something not possible indoors back in the UK.
Accommodation for the players and coaches is in some of the privately owned apartments and townhouses at Desert Springs Resort normally reserved for holidays and short breaks and the resort’s executive chef will be on hand to cater for the special dietary requirements of individual players dining in the resort’s Crocodile Club Restaurant.
