It is with great pleasure that we can let you know that the Spanish Seniors & Ladies ‘Pro-Am’ is now fully subscribed.
Scheduled for Thursday 1st November, to precede and celebrate the 2007 Spanish Seniors and Ladies Professional Championships being held from the Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th November, the Pro-Am was planned to give our members and property owners the opportunity to play with some of the best Senior and Lady Professionals in Spain over 18 holes of tournament golf on the Indiana course.
Director of Golf, Simon Coaker remarked:
‘Once again, demand was exceptionally high with a large number of our members and property owners wishing to participate in the event. A total of 26 teams have now entered the Pro-Am competition. There can be no better way to ‘kick-off’ the deadly serious business of the 2007 Spanish Seniors & Ladies Professional Championships than by enjoying a social, albeit thoroughly competitive, 18 holes of tournament golf on the eve of the championship event’
Considered to be one of the most important tournaments in the calendar of Spanish professional events, the total prize money for the 2007 Spanish Senior Professional Championship has been increased by 12.5% and the Spanish Ladies Professional Championship by 17.6%, resulting in a total prize fund of 56,000 Euros.
Those professionals participating within the Pro-Am will no doubt be hoping to benefit from the local knowledge of the Desert Springs members!
