Members of Desert Springs have been invited to enter a team in the XI Dia Del Interclub Tournament to be held at La Cala Golf Resort on Sunday 1st June 2008.
Teams of 8 players will compete in an individual stableford tournament, with the 4 best scores counting towards the team total. The event is by invitation only and is limited to 15 clubs on the Costa del Sol and Andalucia. The competition is open to male and female golfers with a current handicap. Handicap certificates must be produced.
The entry fee for the event is 35€ per person to include green fee, buggy, and a meal and wine. La Cala have also offered a special rate at their 5 star hotel. Accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis is available at a charge of 99€ + IVA per room (maximum occupancy 2 people).
Any members who may be interested in playing in this event should contact the club captain, Helen Lavis by return, as we need to book the hotel rooms and confirm the team by the end of February.
It would be great to walk away with the trophy and show all the other clubs what fantastic golfers the Indiana Course makes us. Victory is always sweet, so come on everyone, enter this great team event and let’s have some fun.
