As communicated via an earlier Golf News on 2nd December 2024, for Club Tournaments the introduction of the new Golf Directo Tournament Software is designed to enhance your tournament experience, offering a modern, paperless approach to scoring and competition management. Players can now input their scores for each hole directly in real-time using their mobile devices. Additionally, the system features a live leader board, enabling participants to track their standings during the competition.
The Club has since collaborated with the Club Committee to conduct a trial period for the software, assessing its effectiveness and gauging player feedback, which has been positive.
The Club and Committee have now agreed that until 28th February 2025, scorecards and tournament rules will still be provided in paper format, allowing members time to familiarise themselves with the new Golf Directo app.
Starting 1st March 2025, physical scorecards will no longer be issued. Tournament Rules and ‘Nearest the Pin’ information will be accessible directly through the Golf Directo app.
Score Entry Made Simple:
- Players will input their scores for each hole in real time using the Golf Directo app. This process is a shared responsibility between the player and their marker.
- For those who prefer, a traditional scorecard can be used to manually track scores during play, but all official scores must be entered into the Golf Directo app.

Personalised Tournament Information:
- Before each competition, the Club will send an email to all players with a link to their digital scorecard, complete with all the details; Tee, Tee Time and Playing Partners.
- Players who have the Golf Directo App downloaded on their mobile phone, can instantly access their digital scorecard, without the need to check their email.
