The second annual ‘Golf 4 Women’ Team Trophy will be held over the Indiana Championship Course at Desert Springs on Thursday 26th June.
An amazing field comprising 20 teams of 4 players, 80 lady golfers in total from the Almeria and Murcia regions have now entered the event, including the defending champions Hacienda del Alamo.
The tournament will be played in Texas Scramble format; with teams of 4 players taking 3 drives each. If last year’s event is anything to go by it will be a close run thing to find the champions, Hacienda narrowly defeated the home team from Desert Springs to claim victory.
Christine Langford, Desert Springs´ Ladies Golf Ambassador, will host the day and will present a golf clinic, together with some helpful local knowledge to all the competitors prior to play.
Christine remarked: ‘This is an event in the true spirit of Golf 4 Women at Desert Springs and I am delighted that we have received such great support from our neighboring clubs. By designing specific events such as this we are assured of introducing new golfers to the Indiana!”
