The Golf 4 Women Mixed Open was played over the Indiana course on Friday 3rd July, the format of the competition was a greensome stableford. A total of 18 couples from clubs around the region took part in the event.
The winning team was Bob Evans of Sensol, paired with Desert Springs member Helen Lavis. The pair met on the first tee and hit it off immediately amassing a fine score of 44 points. Speaking after the prize giving Bob Evans said; “It was such a pleasure to play with Helen, she knows the course so well and literally talked me through every shot, for once I did as I was told and it was a dream partnership. The course was in magnificent condition, it is always a pleasure to play here.”
Second place went to Desert Springs members Wikki de Graaf and Freddie Beames with 40 points on a count back over the last 6 holes, Hacienda del Alamo members Mary & Steve Haskins were in third place.
The event was supported by Clarins who generously donated prizes from their new range of men’s and ladies fragrances.
