The inaugural ‘Golf 4 Women’ Winter Golf Festival will take place at Desert Springs from 27th November – 3rd December 2008. Entries are invited from teams of 4 lady golfers.
The event begins on Thursday 27th with a practice round, followed by a welcome party at the Cave Bar to meet your fellow competitors and discuss tactics with your team.
The tournament involves playing a different format of play each day, Texas Scramble, Greensomes, Fourball, Bowmaker Team and Individual Stableford, with the winning team decided on the accumulative score at the end of the week. Some days will be played in your team of 4 and others in 2 teams of 2 making the event a typically social Desert Springs experience!
A day off is scheduled on Sunday to give everyone an opportunity for some relaxation.
The tournament package is available with or without accommodation and, consistent with other ‘Golf 4 Women’ events, members can enter by paying the tournament entry fee (less accommodation and breakfast) and avoid having the rounds deducted from their annual round allowance.
