The event began with a ‘Meet the Pro’s Welcome Reception’ at the Cave Bar, where the draw was made for the first round Texas Scramble.
On Saturday morning, prior to the commencement of the first round of the Pro-Am event, the amateurs received the opportunity of learning from the LET stars during ‘Personalised Clinics’ at the Golf Academy, where the areas of the game that the amateurs were most interested in were covered.

The first round Texas Scramble was won by Desert Springs Members, Adrienne Ruiz and Andrew Markham playing with LET professional Hannah Burke. An extremely consistent round of golf played in beautiful weather conditions helped them to amass a total score of 51 points, resulting in them holding the overnight lead.
However, after Round 1 all teams were within 7 or less points difference going into the second round meaning that the event was still open to all teams to win!

Peter Grief remarked of the event;
“Many thanks for your hospitality over the weekend. Both Catherine and I had the best time and meeting you and all the pro’s was an experience we will never forget.”
Catherine Grief commented;
“Hopefully we will be able to come and stay again. I would like to re-iterate what Peter has already said, that we absolutely loved the whole weekend – we will be back !!!”
On the second day the LET Pro’s and selected Amateur team members were challenged to play the Indiana Course under a ‘Speed Golf’ format. The record previously set for completion of the 18-holes of the Indiana course was 77 shots in 28 minutes and 16 seconds. Whilst the time record was improved by 2 minutes and 38 seconds, unfortunately the amount of strokes taken to complete the course increased by 14 to 91, more haste less speed some may say!
LET Professional Trish Johnson, captained the winning team on day 2, her team comprising Desert Springs Members Bill and Nicola Iles scored 80 points in the 2 best from 3 scores format, leading the second round by 1 point from the team of LET Professional Becky Brewerton and overnight leaders, Desert Springs Members, Adrienne Ruiz and Andrew Markham.
