Some of the top players from the Ladies European Tour (LET) will be at Desert Springs in the New Year for the ‘GOLF 4 ALL PRO-AM’ to be played on the championship Indiana Course between 7th- 8th January 2008.
Desert Springs’ touring professionals and Solheim Cup players, Trish Johnson and Becky Brewerton will be joined by a host of talented professionals, who between them have amassed an amazing 31 tournament victories.
Lora Fairclough, former Solheim Cup player and winner of 6 tournaments on the LET will be making her second appearance in the Pro-Am, whilst fellow winners Rebecca Hudson, Caroline Hall and Kirsty Taylor will be embarking on their first visit to Desert Springs, as will young Scottish professionals Claire Queen and Lynn Kenny.
The ever popular Dani Masters will be making a welcome return to the event together with 2007 winners, Fame More and Alex Keithley, so there is going to be a lot of fun, both on and off the course!
Played over two days, the event is open to both male and female amateurs, members and non-members of Desert Springs and you can enter either individually or in teams of three. The first day is a Texas Scramble, followed on the second day by a best 2 from 4 format. The aggregate score form the 2 days will count as the team’s final score. There is a draw for team professionals each day so competitors have the opportunity to play with 2 different lady professionals.
The après golf is just as much fun as the on course aspect. Meet the Pro’s at the welcome cocktail party, where the draw for the first round will be made, followed by dinner at the Crocodile Club. An informal lunch follows the first day’s play and a final prize giving dinner with the lady professionals at El Torrente Restaurant in the clubhouse concludes the proceedings.
There are a few places remaining in the Pro-Am, however, entries close on 16th December. Places are also available for the social functions alone.
