Europro Tour Championship

 

We announced in an earlier Newsflash that Desert Springs Resort & Golf Club had been selected to host this years season-ending Tour Championship of the PGA EuroPro Tour between Wednesday 28th – Friday 30th October 2015.

 

The Tour Championship will be filmed for a two-hour highlights package to air on Sky Sports in the UK in November, and on networks around the world including Fox International across Asia, Fox Sports Australia, Fox Sports in Turkey, Greece, Malta, Cyprus and StarHub in Singapore. The Tour attracts a sizable global television audience, reaching 250 million homes worldwide, which ensures an impressive level of exposure that will allow for the resort to continue to grow in terms of its reputation for quality, a factor of benefit and prestige to the resort, its members, property owners and the local area.

 

Only the top 60 golfers on the tour’s ‘Race To Desert Springs’ Order of Merit qualify to play the Tour Championship, which carries a €120,000 prize fund.

 

We want to give our property owners and members as much notice as possible of the programme of events, enabling them to plan their holidays and golf accordingly. Please see below the confirmed schedule for the 2015 PGA EuroPro Tour Championship.

 

Monday 26th October – Official Practice Day

Members reservation period (PREPOS)	from 08,00 hrs – 08,56 hrs
Indiana Course reserved	from 09,04 hrs – 12.56 hrs for EuroPro Tour Championship competitors only
Indiana Course closed for course maintenance	from 13,04 hrs

 

          

Tuesday 27th October – Pro-Am Tournament

Important Note: – Play for all golfers on this day will only be available for 10-Holes with play to commence strictly from Tee 9 only. No golf buggys will be available for use on the golf course during these times. All golfers must have vacated the golf course strictly by 12,00 hrs.

Thursday 29th October – Tournament Round 2 (Stroke Play)

Indiana Course reserved	from 08,00 hrs – 12:18 hrs for PGA EuroPro Tour Championship competitors only

Friday 30th October – Tournament Round 3 (Stroke Play)

Lastly, we wish to advise that between Monday 26th and Friday 30th October that the practice facilities at the Golf Academy will be open for use by PGA EuroPro Tour Championship competitors only.
