Daley Thompson, two times Decathlon Olympic Gold Medalist and regular visitor to Desert Springs Resort, was on hand to help Desert Springs Owners and Residents find out just how it feels to be put through their paces!
Daley kindly gave his time to host, completely free of charge, three separate training sessions on Tuesday 5th, Wednesday 6th & Thursday 7th July, each lasting one and half hours.
This was a unique opportunity to meet and train under the guidance of the World’s greatest ever all-round athlete, in the beautiful and unique surroundings of Desert Springs Resort, and there was no shortage in those wanting to take up the offer!
In fact, due to their success and demand from those wishing to attend, Daley kindly added a further two sessions between 13th & 13th July!
Sixty-Five (65) willing attendees of all ages and fitness levels met with Daley at The Sierra Sports & Fitness Club, where he proceeded to provide his fitness sessions utilizing the gym, the 18th fairway as well as the Trim Trail with equipped exercise stations.
Daley said of the experience: –
“It has been great to be back at Desert Springs having a great time.
I certainly enjoy these great sessions with residents, visitors and holidaymakers all taking part, putting everyone through their paces at a level, which is appropriate to each of them.
What I love the most with each session is the brilliant mix of boys and girls, mums and dads, and grandmas and granddads.
Fitness and fun for all!”
