El Día de Andalucía (The Day of Andalusia) is a celebration held on the 28th February each year enjoyed by the community of Andalusia in order to commemorate the referendum that gave full autonomy to Andalusia in February 1980.
To celebrate this historic event, Desert Springs Resort & Golf Club will host for the first time the ‘Andalusia Day Tournament’ on 28th February.
The tournament will be an 18-hole individual stableford competition and is open to any golfer. The handicap requirements are 28 for Men, 36 for Ladies and 28 for Juniors. Every player will receive their full handicap allowance plus the slope rating of the Indiana Course.
The price for entry will be 15€ for Members and 50€ for Non-Members, and will include the use of practice balls at the Golf Academy prior to play and a selection of typical Andalusian tapas prepared by our very own Executive Chef, Steven Pegg accompanied with a glass of wine for each competitor after play.
The prize presentation will take place at the Clubhouse after all players have completed their round.
Entrance forms are available at the Golf Reception in the Clubhouse and the closing date for all entrants is Midday 27th February.
