Cricket Scotland Women will be holding a (7) day Training camp at Desert Springs Resort and ICC accredited Cricket Ground & Academy in preparation for the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup qualifying event. The Cricket Scotland Women’s Squad will be visiting Desert Springs between Sunday 23rd February – Saturday 1st March 2025.
Following a successful preparation camp for the ICC T20 World Cup qualifying event in February 2024, Cricket Scotland Women will return again to prepare for the 50 Over ICC World Cup Qualifying event. Scotland Women will bring a squad of squad of sixteen (16) players and three (3) staff who will be involved in a mixture of high performance training, spending their time completing a specific and carefully planned programme of numerous training sessions each day covering technical skills, bowling and batting, strength and conditioning and both individual and group activity. Alongside training at the Cricket Academy Nets the Cricket Match Ground will be used to simulate match play scenarios in order to prepare the squad effectively for the qualifying event.
The players and coaches will be accommodated in some of the privately-owned apartments at Desert Springs and the resort’s executive chef will be on hand to cater for the special dietary requirements of individual players dining at both El Torrente Restaurant and the Crocodile Club.
