The Club has been asked to issue the following by Philip Lockyer, on behalf of the Competitions Committee:
“Dear Member / Property Owner,
In conjunction with Peter Rooke we will be organising a fun 18-hole competition to take place late morning of the 30th December. This will be to celebrate both Pete’s 50th birthday and the life of his and Gayle’s son Bradley who tragically died in 2007.
As I said the intention is to make this as much fun as possible, so here is the format:
- You will need to enter anonymously – your nom de plume being the name of your first pet for a Christian name and your mother’s maiden name for a surname. Laddie Lavelle and Kitty Cuthbert have already entered!
- The competition will be a drawn pairs American Greensomes Stableford (no I don’t understand it either!) which will be explained on the day
- Best score wins what I’m sure will be memorable prizes
- The entry fee will be the usual 10 Euros (part of which will go to support a Children’s Charity) plus relevant green fee for any guests who are more than welcome.
- Entry Forms will be in the Club House
- I’m equally sure it could well be quite social afterwards
Please support what should be an entertaining way of spending your time recovering from the Migas the day before and the excesses of New Year’s Eve the day after!
