The Club has been asked to issue the following statement made by Wikkie De Graaf, a member of the Competitions Committee acting on its behalf, explaining the recent decision of that committee concerning the draws for future competitions at Desert Springs.
“Dear Members & Property Owners,
We are pleased to inform you about some recent decisions taken by your golf Competitions Committee with regard to dividing the golf competition into two groups, which will affect the draw system for the remaining period of 2008 up to The Captain’s Drive-In in April 2009.
| 1 | Serious Competitions, which will be played strictly in handicap order, i.e.: lower handicap players will tee off first. | |||
| 2008 | The Presidents Cup | Saturday the 8th of November | ||
| 2009 | The Epiphany Challenge | Tuesday 6th January | ||
| The Desert Springs Open Championship | Fridy 13th and Saturday 14th February |

| St. Patrick’s Day Bowl | Tuesday 17th March | |||
| The Indiana Masters | Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th April |

| 2 | Fun competitions, which will be played mixing, low, medium and high handicaps giving everyone the opportunity to play and socialise with other members and guests. | |||
| 3 | The Competitions Committee will post a reminder on the Club Notice Board every week to help bring to your attention the details of the next competition. | |||
| 4 | The closing date and time to enter the competitions is at 12:00 hrs the day before the competition date. | |||
