The ‘Running Monthly Medal and Stableford’ competitions held at Desert Springs were introduced in 2003 to meet the needs of those Members and Owners visiting the resort on any day of the month to ensure that they could play a competitive round of golf whenever they were at the resort.
Since its introduction the Club together with the Clubs Committee has continued to develop the official tournament calendar to what it is presently.
The Competitions Committee has decided to make a change in the Tournament Calendar for the remaining period of 2008 up to the ‘Captain’s Drive-In’ in April 2009.
In an effort to promote these series of events and to encourage members, property owners and visitors to enter, the competition will be played in individual Stableford, and not Medal Play.
Therefore, the competition has been renamed the ‘Running Monthly Stableford’.
The Competitions Committee, in order to create greater player participation within the competition, has decided to combine the ‘Running Monthly Stableford’ with the ‘Saturday Morning Roll-Up’.
Players must register at the Clubhouse reception and pay the entrance fee of 3 Euro per person.
Please remember after play to return your completed and signed scorecard back in the Club House.
The winner will be the player who achieved the highest Stableford points score over 18 holes recorded from all rounds played by all players.
At the end of each month the winner will be announced and shall receive their well earned prize!
