The Club has been asked to issue the following by Desert Springs Golf Club Vice Captain Barry Carver.
“Dear Member / Property Owner,
As you will be aware I will be inducted as Club Captain of Desert Springs Golf Club on the 16th April, 2009.
My sincere thanks go to Martin Symington during his year of office.
I have chosen ‘Golfing through the Ages’ as the theme for my ‘Captain’s Drive-In’ with members and guests invited to dress in golfing attire from the early days of golf to modern times, if they so desire.
The day will start with drinks at the Cave Bar at 9.00 a.m. followed by a 4-Ball Texas Scramble Stableford Points Competition.
All members are welcome to join in what should be a Fun Day of Golf.
In the evening there will be a Drinks Reception at 7.00 pm at El Torrente restaurant followed by a Gala Dinner with seating at 7.30 pm with music and dancing.
My Choice of Charities for the coming year will be the ‘Asociación de Minusválidos de Cuevas del Almanzora’ and the ‘Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer’.
The new Committee and I will be looking forward to arranging Competitions and events throughout the year.
