Desert Springs Club Captain, Helen Lavis has unveiled her plans for the Captains Charity Weekend scheduled for 26th-28th October 2007. The PINK WEEKEND will be an event full of surprises and fun for all with a real party atmosphere.
The Autumn Cup will be played on Friday 26th but for non –golfers and sybarites there will also be a PINK PAMPER DAY at the Day Spa hosted by Karen Kelliher and her special guests– a unique treat for everyone with Yoga, Tai Chi, General Pampering, PINK-NIC and Pink Nails all in the relaxed surroundings of the Spa Gardens. The Social Roll-Up on Friday night will, of course, be offering PINK COCKTAILS and Canapés.
The Captains Charity Day will be held on Saturday, a team event with individual prizes and a special PINK BALL challenge, played in teams of four with a shotgun start, lots of great prizes and laughs. After the golf there will be a PINK PARTY in the clubhouse, everyone’s welcome to let their hair down, barbeque food, PINK PIG RACING and a chance to collect your prizes for the golf and place your bids in the charity auction!
The morning after the night before brings the PINK EYE TOURNAMENT a gentle stableford event followed by a PINK-NIC in the cave bar.
Only people with a sense of humor should be at Desert Springs from 26th – 28th October, the resort will be patrolled by PINK POLICE and anyone not wearing an item of PINK clothing will be given an on the spot fine… you have been warned!
Helen hopes that you will join her for what promises to be the highlight of her year. All proceeds will be donated to the Captain’s Charities, our tournament Pro’s will be handing over their cheque from their PINK BIRDIE BLITZ and there will be an update from the PINK BUGGY FUND.
