Beefy’s Charity Golf Series

We announced in an earlier Golf News that the ‘Ian Botham Charity Golf Classic’ presented by CGTV Games Ltd. with Java Trading Company as an Event Sponsor, to be held between Thursday 11th – Saturday 13th October 2007 to raise funds for Leukaemia Research is fully subscribed.  

Sir Viv Richards, Ian Woosnam, Nasser Hussain, Steve Cram, Peter Baker, Gordan Brand Jnr, Paul Way, Malcolm MacKenzie, Phil Golding, Mark Davies, Roger Chapman, Steve Richardson, Darren Campbell, Jimmy Case, Vinny Samways and Ronan Keating, are just some of the keen celebrities and professional sportsmen who have confirmed their attendance and support of the event to help their amateur teams of 3 to compete for this year’s trophy; playing 36-holes over two days.

We want to give our property owners and members as much notice as possible of the programme of events, enabling them to plan their holidays accordingly. Please see below the schedule for the ‘Ian Botham Charity Golf Classic’.

The tournament kicks off on Thursday evening with a  Welcome Drinks Reception with BBQ at the Crocodile Club followed by the announcement of the draw sheet and a ‘Casino Evening’. All monies raised at the Casino tables will be donated directly to Leukaemia Research and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 chip leaders at the end of the evening!

On Friday evening El Torrente restaurant will be host to the Celebrity Gala Dinner with entertainment where guests will have the opportunity to bid for items at the  ‘Money Can’t Buy’ Auction.

For those property owners and members who are not competing within the golf event, the opportunity to purchase tickets to attend either or both the Casino Evening at the Crocodile Club or the Celebrity Gala Dinner Evening at El Torrente are being made available at a cost of 75€ and 125€ a ticket respectively, on a strictly first come first served basis.

Due to the positive and overwhelming response received from entrants wishing to participate in the golf event itself, with demand outstripping supply, we would encourage those who wish to become involved within the social functions to purchase their tickets now before they too are sold out!’
