Sign up is now open for Captain’s Charity Day. The forms will be available at Resort Reception. The closing date for entries is Wednesday 4th October 2023. If you are not arriving at Desert Springs until after the closing date, please could you contact reception and let them know that you want to play and/or attend the evening.
The itinerary for the day is as follows;
08.30hrs onwards – Meet at El Torrente’s Tinaja Terrace for drinks and a BBQ breakfast
10.00hrs – Shotgun start
18.30hrs – Meet at El Torrente
19.00hrs – Gala Dinner

Followed by music by DJ Gail. (Requests welcome)
The golf will be a Texas Scramble, in teams of 4. There will be team prizes and Nearest the Pin prizes. 3 drives to count for each person in the team. Mulligans will be available for purchase at the BBQ breakfast.
The theme for the golf and for the evening is ‘Colours of the Rainbow’. You can wear just one of the 7 colours of the rainbow or a combination. But as always, if you don’t want to dress up, that’s fine, I am just happy that you are supporting the day.
There will be food and drink available at the Hacienda. My thanks to Karen and Hetty for agreeing to run this for me again. If anyone is able to provide any food or drink for this, I would be very grateful. Thank you.
There will also be drinks available at the 17th tee and a ‘challenge’ for you, run by Jenny. Thanks Jen.
If you would like to select your starting tee for the shotgun start, please let me know and I will try to accommodate all requests. A donation of 40 euros per team would be gratefully received. Otherwise tees will be drawn.
During the evening, there will be a raffle and an auction. If anyone is able to contribute any raffle prizes or auction items, please could you let me know. Thank you so much to those that have already secured auction items for me.
A huge thank you to The Springers, who have agreed to play for us. New songs have been learnt and I am really looking forward to hearing them play again. Once The Springers have finished, Gail will help us see out the night by playing music to keep us dancing. Gail is happy to take requests.
