Following the phenomenal success of the inaugural 2007 Ladies ‘Golf 4 All Pro-Am’ at Desert Springs Resort and Golf Club, we are pleased to announce that the 2008 ‘Golf 4 All Pro-Am’ is now open for entries!
Join Desert Springs’ Ladies European Tour professionals, Trish Johnson and Becky Brewerton, together with a host of other talented LET professionals for a unique Pro-Am event. From the 6th to the 8th January 2008, 16 professionals from the tour will each compete with a team of three amateurs on the Indiana golf course.
The event is open to both men and women amateurs, members and non-members of Desert Springs, who can enter as individuals or in teams of three. With two rounds of 18-hole tournament golf, each team will be joined, on each day by a different lady professional, drawn by lot to give you the opportunity to play with more than one of them.
The tournament kicks off with a Welcome Reception with tapas in the Cave Bar and a ‘Meet The Pro’s’ Evening with dinner at the Crocodile Club, on the eve of the tournament. Round One will be in Texas Scramble format, with 4 drives from each player to count. The first day’s play will be followed by a BBQ Buffet Lunch in the Clubhouse. Round Two will be played as a 4-Ball Stableford with the best two points scores on each hole to count. The tournament will be concluded by a Gala Dinner with entertainment and prize presentation at El Torrente in the Clubhouse. A gift pack, team photograph and a practice round are included and, on both tournament days, practice balls at the Desert Springs Academy of Golf will be available for you to warm up with your team professional.
